What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychological therapy that works to alleviate the impact of traumatic memories. EMDR is an effective treatment for a wide variety of conditions which may be caused by a range of different traumatic experiences.
EMDR utilises eye movements (known as bilateral stimulation) to help individuals to resolve unprocessed past traumatic events, childhood issues, or other difficult memories with the aim of alleviating their impact on people's lives.
EMDR allows people to move past events where people may be feeling stuck. It is particularly effective for post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depressed mood, and many others. It has been demonstrated to be effective for many other issues for everyday individuals.
We are passionate about helping clients by creating a safe environment for people to be able to process the unique challenges in their everyday lives.
Our clinic draws upon experiences from a wide range of clinical approaches which provides tailor-made interventions to help people move forward in their lives.
